Whats been going on?

Here are some pictures to outline whats been going on the past few days.

Here is our little GATOR! in her jersey that her Grammy got for her.

Yes! this is Miles sewing. I got a new sewing machine; which I absolutely love! Miles was very interested in how it worked and then after a little bit he was convinced that he could make Kaydence a better made dress than I could.

Miles wanted to go fishing, so we got up early Saturday morning and headed to the lake. Yes, Kaydence is still in her pajamas. HA! We had a great time. Miles did not catch anything, but it was still fun. Kaydence and I played and then took a walk when it was nap time. She is getting so much better with out outings. After fishing we went to Waffle House for breakfast; it was great.

(This is Kaydence's silly face)

I have set up a little play area in our living room. Kaydence will sit here for about 30 minutes at a time some days just taking toys out of the basket. She hasn't mastered putting them back in, but it's still fun taking them out right now.

We are definitely taking advantage of this nice North Carolina weather we are having lately. Kaydence loves being outside and especially being in her swing. We usually go on walks in the morning and swing in the evening.

Happy Wednesday!

Teething!

Tha'ts right....Kaydence is teething. Wow! I couldn't believe it. A few days ago I was holding Kaydence and she grabbed my finger and put it in her mouth; which is not unusual because our fingers are her favorite toys, and then I felt it just cutting through. I've read so much about teething already because they told me at her four month check-up that it seemed that that tooth was ready to come in, but Kaydence didn't exhibit any of the typical signs of teething. She hasn't been cranky at all, she is eating and sleeping just fine; we really are so lucky to have such a trooper. The drooling has significantly increased, but other than that everything is going well so far. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get a good one.

The past few days have been one big adventure. We have taken Percy and Tebow to the lake on two separate days of course. We had two very different experiences. Percy was first and he absolutely loved it. He was jumping in on his own. After Percy was all tired out we headed up the road to the playground so that Kaydence could swing and Percy could dry off so he didn't soak the car. Kaydence loved swinging and spending time with all of us! She really enjoys watching the dogs no matter what there doing it is always so entertaining to her.

We also managed to get a family photo. Any the great view behind us just made it even better. Camp Lejeune is actually very pretty; they have many spots that are just nice to stop and look at. I also got many pictures of Kaydence swinging and Miles and I swinging with her. I take so many pictures of Kaydence and I put so many up because its so hard just to even pick a few. I want to capture every moment that I can.

Tuesday we decided to take Tebow to the lake. He wasn't as interested in the lake as Percy was; he gets so distracted by anything, cars, birds, other people, anything. Miles couldn't get him to get in so he threw him in a few times. It didn't work all that great because he was still able to stand where he was. It wasn't terrible, but he was just not having anything to do with the water. After we were out there for a while a man came out with a little remote control speed boat and that served as Tebow's motivation to get into the water. Miles asked if it was okay if he let him go and the guy said that it was fine. Little did we know Tebow doesn't possess the natural ability to swim. We really thought that Miles was going to have to jump in and get him.

After the lake we went back to the playground. We were trying to waste time so that we didn't have to sit in the terrible CL traffic. Of course Kaydence swung for a while and then I decided that I would give her a taste of the apple sauce that I made earlier that day during her nap. She almost threw up. It was a terrible experience for her.

These are a few pictures I thought I would throw in of Kaydence playing. She can now sit up on her blanket and pull toys out of her basket all on her own. Oh! she's growing up so fast.

We had a eventful day today. We woke up and played and napped and ate and napped some more.

Then we went to New Bern to spend an afternoon with Miles' Aunt Kathleen. We had such a great time. New Bern is the cutest little town and was perfect for our visit. We went down to the water and got some great pictures.

This is our sweet sweet dog Percy. He is just full of energy all of the time it seems; it's awesome. We love all of our animals; Percy is just very special to us! Were so happy to have in as a part of our family.

So if you don't know already Miles is getting ready to deploy in the next few months. I just wanted to take a minute and just say that I love this man so much. I am so blessed to have him be my husband and friend. He would do anything for me and Kaydence and through his tough exterior he really is a sweet and loving man. We knew from the beginning that Miles would have to go overseas; that's his job and we accept the good and the bad that comes with it. It's just really hard to have your husband away for so long. I know that I will be able to endure this first deployment; it'll be hard, but I know that I can do it. The one thing that bothers me is how much Miles will miss with Kaydence. It just hurts my heart so much. Shes going to be growing so much over the next seven months and I will try my hardest to make sure that Miles knows about every single little thing that happens and that Kaydence knows who her daddy is, what he looks like, and what he is doing. I think or hope that I'm ready for this, and I just pray that God stays with Miles and both of us.

So Kaydence has decided to take after her daddy and start riding motorcycles; or at least the helmet and gloves. She is just too adorable for words!

It just makes my heart so warm when I see these two together. Kaydence truly loves her daddy.
