Hello everyone! We've been having computer trouble lately so I haven't been able to post anything, but were up and running. The past few weeks has been awesome. Kaydence has began to sit up all by herself; she's a bit wobbly and tips over sometimes, but she's doing very well. She is such a bubbly and vibrant baby. Her personality has definitely emerged, and we absolutely love it.

Miles has received the best opportunity. He was put on the shooting team for is battalion. He wasn't doing so great the first day, but as the week has progressed he has steadily improved. I'm so proud of him! The only downside to this is that he leaves every morning at 5 and doesn't get home until 6 or so. So he hasn't really gotten to spend any time with Miles at all and its not over until next Wednesday.

Miles' battalion puts on frequent family days to get the marines families involved and meet other families. These days are mostly geared toward the children, and the one we went to yesterday was the best one yet. They hosted a picnic complete with pony rides, barn animals, blow up play tents, and a great assortment of picnic foods. Kaydence was sleepy the whole time, but she pushed through and has a blast. She rode her first pony and got to see a bunny. She saw her first clown and sat still long enough to have her face painted. Even though Miles was not able to be there we still enjoyed ourselves very much.

When we came home from the picnic Kaydence ate and I thought that she would lay down and sleep after the long day she had just endured, but that was not an option. She played and played and played some more. Then her much awaited package arrived; an exersaucer from grandma. I was very excited! Kaydence sat in her stroller while I put the toy together. Once she got in it she was so hilarious; she was laughing and cooing and just having a ball. After playing with the new toy for about 20 minutes she finally decided that it was time for a bottle and a nap...finally.
